My relationship with dance started at the early age of six when my mom signed me up to join the dance ministry at my church. To my surprise, after only one performance I was hooked. I wanted more than anything to expand my newly found love to as many styles as possible.
I began my professional training in classical ballet, pointe, jazz, contemporary, hip hop, African and modern at Legacy Studios, now named Durham School for Ballet and the Performing Arts. My training continued there until graduation from high school in 2012. I then attended North Carolina Central University with a major in Dance Education. While in attendance, I was the principal dancer of the Clear Onyx Dance Company for three years and captain of the Lovely Ladies of eClipse dance team for two.
After recovery from a major knee injury in 2017, I returned to my passion. Coaching several teams, dancing on a semi-pro cheerleading team which I became captain of, and choreographing for teams and individuals all in and around the Raleigh-Durham area.
I am both excited and anxious to continue learning, performing, and instructing this magnificent art form here at Arthur Murray. I look forward to dancing with you all!
