Bridgett Taylor
I started dancing at the age of 5 at Premier School of Dance in Raleigh, North Carolina. For the next 13
years of my life, I continued to stay with Premier and train as a competitive dancer in Ballet, Jazz, Hip-
Hop, Lyrical, and Contemporary dance styles. Upon entering high school, I soon realized that dance was
more than just a hobby and I decided that I wanted to go to college to prepare for a career in dance. I
spent 4 years at East Carolina University earning my Bachelors of Fine Arts in Dance Performance. After
graduation I hit the ground running and started auditioning for various performance jobs up and down
the east coast, all while still teaching at my home studio during the week. Within 3 months of earning
my degree, I was offered a contract as a dancer on a cruise ship for Holland America Line through RWS
Entertainment Group. That was the first time I was introduced to ballroom dancing, and I was smitten!
For 3 years I spent most of my time performing at sea, all around the world, and getting to experience
dance styles such as Salsa and Argentine Tango in their home countries. Soon my hunger for ballroom
was insatiable and I knew I had to learn more and share my love with the rest of the world. I am so
excited for my journey as an instructor with Arthur Murray! I cannot wait to share my passion for dance
with every student and hopefully spark that same love for dance in them.
